Seeking Buying Advice - Small Camera w/ Movie Digest Feature

Recommendations

• Budget: ~$300-500

• Country: USA

• Condition: used, but not too used

• Intended use: EDC, pets & food mainly + the occasional outdoor excursion

• What features do you absolutely need: Movie Digest or similar

• Portability: easily pocketable or won't take up too much room in a bag

• Cameras you're considering: Canon PowerShot N2, PowerShot S100, or EOS M200

• Cameras you already have: iPhone 16 Pro, Rebel XSI

• Notes: Hello! I've been doing some research on compact cameras that support Canon's movie digest/hybrid auto feature and have largely narrowed down my search to the PowerShot N2, PowerShot S100, or EOS M200. As many others are doing these days, I'm hoping to step away from my phone as my primary camera and introduce a little more intention into my life. What has drawn me to these three models:

- pocketability: I like that these could be tossed into a bag easily (obviously the M200 with a lens is less pocketable than the others, but it still does the job for me + is a trade-off that's worth it for interchangeable lenses imo)

- movie digest: I love the live photo feature on my phone and this is as close an analogue as I've found in my research

- aesthetic/quirk: I like the looks of these guys! the N2 has obvious funk going on, the M200 is just so sleek for what it is, and the S100 has a sophisticated throwback charm. the articulating screen is a really nice plus on the N2 and M200, but at the end of the day not a need for me

- photo quality: I'm not a pixel counter, and I like the personality that I've seen from shots taken with these. I don't take a lot of video (save for the movie digest clips) so not too concerned there

would love to hear if any of y'all have looked around for something similar or tried any of these in a similar casual purpose! thanks for reading!
