before i left for work which was only like 4 hours ago my fish were all perfectly fine and healthy. i gave them all peas and went off to work. came back to everyone else completely fine except for one. he’s floating around on his side. he was COMPLETELY fine before i left for work. i’ve been dealing with ick in their tank and successfully treated it. all spots gone. every other fish is behaving normally. the fish in question had ick the worst, but all of the spots are gone now so i don’t think it’s that.

but now he’s mostly completely unresponsive floating on his side slightly curled. he occasionally tries to swim but just ends up back in the same position. ammonia is 0. im at a complete loss for what could’ve happened in the span of 4 hours. he’s still alive but i think he’s actively dying. the heater was on for the ick treatment but only went up to about 68 before i started turning it down. could it have been the heater? ick treatment? i used super ick. i’m just kind of freaking out and at a loss for what to do.

he was healthy and eating before i left for work and was healthy and normal during ick treatment showing absolutely no signs of illness. he’s a young fish too. i also caught ick on day one before it got too bad. for the super ick, i actually mostly underdosed it, and like it says on the bottle u first dose it and then wait 48 hours then change 25% water then dose it again and wait 48 hours before changing 25% of the water after the second round. i did exactly that. i’m just at a loss
