First Japan Trip (Late July) – Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo + Kamakura – Is this itinerary feasible?
Hi everyone!
My friend and I are planning our first trip to Japan from 24 July to 1 August, and would love some feedback on our itinerary.
Current plan:
- ✈️ Land in Osaka
- 🏙️ Osaka – ~1.5 days
- ⛩️ Kyoto – 2 days
- 🗼 Tokyo – remaining time (with a day trip to Kamakura)
We’re trying to balance seeing the major highlights without rushing too much. Does this split sound feasible, or are we underestimating travel time / fatigue?
Also, since we’ll be visiting in late July (peak summer):
- Are there any must-do seasonal experiences, festivals, or places we should prioritize?
- Anything we should avoid due to heat/crowds?
- Any tips for dealing with the humidity and weather?
We’re open to tweaking the plan if something feels too rushed or if we’re missing something special.
Thanks in advance
