College housing tips

Hello, I’m a junior in high school and I’m looking for housing for college. I’m planning to go to university of central Florida (UCF) and it’s in Orlando. I want to manage my money well and start saving up money to be able to afford to live there for university. I’m trying to find the cheapest options as possible but I’m very confused on what I should be doing. So far though all that I know I want to rent a house off campus or basically any house that is cheap but still is able to reach my destination (UCF). I’m just worried and wondering if that is the right choice. I don’t mind roommates at all since I want rent to be cheapest as possible since I’m going to be the one providing for myself since none of my family is helping out financially. I don’t really need to worry for tuition at least right now since I’m gonna apply for bright futures (if I get it). I also wanted to start saving up money in summer and I feel like it’s a little late but it’s the only thing I can do right now since I’m getting my car in summer (which means I can work). I also heard about housing scholarships as well and if I should consider taking that route? This is because I really don’t want to be in any debt. Thank you for listening your advice will be much appreciated!
