Why do political Israelis and pro-Israel people keep saying I am anti-Israel and pro-Iran for expressing criticism of the conflict with Iran?
Am I just too soy or does expressing criticism of the conflict with Iran, the current ‘ceasefire’ where the west gained nothing, and explaining Iranian proxies are bad but proxies are different than a country directly attacking a country make me pro-Iran?
Like Israel-Iran is different than Ukraine-Russia. In Israel-Iran neither can be called Ukraine or Russia. In the Israel-Iran conflict the last two starts to the conflict were Israel doing a preemptive strikes. Even if Israel is justified and Iran evil, preemptive strikes are by definition offensive not defensive. I am NOT a fan of Iran and point out Israel has been offensive towards Iran isn’t defending Iran. Iranian proxies are bad but Iran doesn’t directly control their proxies. They do have some authority over them but similar to North Vietnam and the Vietcong they don’t have direct control despite being intertwined.
Why is it every time I point out objective facts about the conflict Israelis and pro-Israel people will say I am defending Iran. Like I hate the Iranian regime and I am not opposed to overthrowing them BUT I am opposed to engaging in wars that don’t have tangible or realistic goals. This conflict is even less justified than Iraq (and Iraq in my opinion was NOT justified).
Like can any Israelis or pro-Israelis explain to me why stating objective facts gets me labeled “pro-Iran” when I dislike Iran. Why is being critical of an offensive operation without western support equated with being pro-Iran.
