Why does DevSecOps still feel like “security vs devs” in 2026?
Been working around DevOps/infra setups for a while, and something still feels broken.
We have better scanners, better CI/CD pipelines, and way more “shift-left” awareness than before. But in reality, most teams I talk to still deal with:
- Alerts with zero context (is this even exploitable?)
- Security tools slowing down releases
- Devs ignoring “non-blocking” issues
- Security teams chasing false positives
It still feels like two separate worlds instead of one workflow.
Recently started exploring ways to make this less painful — more context-aware security, fewer noisy alerts, and fixes that actually fit into existing pipelines (instead of just dumping reports).
Curious how others are solving this:
- Are you relying on SAST/DAST + manual triage?
- Any tools/workflows that actually reduced noise?
- How do you decide what actually matters in production?
Would love to hear real experiences (not vendor pitches
