Does it mean something??

So basically I’ve posted this earlier but then I deleted it but now I have updates so imma post it again.

So basically I have a MASSIVE crush on this guy in my class (let’s call him crush ji).

And we’ve had some banter a few times, and when I sat parallel to him and would call my guy friend that sita right behind crush ji to talk to him, crush ji would be listening.

So like since yesterday I’ve decided to not to put in an effort to talk to him or sit next to him because of many reasons but one of them being something I remembered.

So like a month ago he was being a little distant in general. In the way you don’t really notice but also kinda do. So after dwelling a little bcz I had said a bunch of stuff to him (while joking around) that one could take as disrespectful or insulting even (if you’re sensitive enough anyways). I decided to just ask him. So I asked him to talk after class (just had a fleeting convo IN PUBLIC while walking downstairs) The convo went somewhat like this-

Me: sab theek hai na bhai??

Him: haan haan

Me: cuz you’ve been a little aloof so..

Him: no no everything is okay

Me: Alr..\\\*walking away w my friend\\\*

Him: anyways I wouldn’t tell you guys my personal issues

Me: that’s not what I was asking it was in general

Him: (Idr what he said but it isn’t important anyways)

\\\*I say smthg unimportant and walk away\\\*

Me: \\\*walks back up to him after walking away\\\* just to be clear I wasn’t asking abt your personal stuff

Him: \\\*while I’m speaking\\\* yea yea it’s fine rehne do

Me: Arre I just meant to ask if it was smthg I said?

Him: no

Me: Alr

\\\*walked to my friend and we were both like “that was rude”\\\*

So yea that’s it. And believe it or not despite the cute banter we have at times, I do have self respect (that gets clouded by attraction at times but Cmonnnnn)

Him: no it won’t ever be b

Him: strengthen kar rha hai

K:he’s right

Me: \\\*furious but continues writing\\\*

K: Arre but b is wrong

Me: you both are dumb, sahi hi bola tha Maine intelligence level same hai, bhagwan bhi bole tab bhi answer change nhi karungi

\\\*later sir confirms ki b hi answer tha\\\*

Me: khud pe le le vo (referring to that chidhana)

He: how? \\\*rushing to sir with MY paper\\\*

\\\*after sir explained\\\*

Him: \\\*cutely regretting life decisions\\\*

Me: Jo kara tha vo khud pe le le!

And yea yesterday I was sitting beside my friend who was sitting on the seat behind the one parallel to him. So when bro walked in, he looked at the girl on that seat, at my friend and then turned around and started talking to my guy friend. (Idk why that hurt, probably bcz he didn’t even look at me?)

We did have a convo but it was just cuz me, him and k thought a question was wrong. Then I said “I assumed I was the problem when I couldn’t solve it” and he said he doesn’t do that (not to me to the other girl) and then the girl behind me had solved it so I went like “you ARE the problem” (while pointing at him)

TLDR: I have a massive crush on a classmate "Crush Ji" and we have great banter, but his hot-and-cold behavior is giving me whiplash. A month ago, I tried to check if we were cool because he seemed distant, and he shut me down pretty rudely, saying he wouldn't share "personal issues" with me. Fast forward to now: we still have cute, competitive banter in class, but he also ignored me yesterday when walking into the room. I'm trying to pull back to keep my self-respect intact, but the attraction is making it hard to stay away. Am I overthinking or is he just moody?
