[HELP] finding if a poem I read in a dream was real.

it was a very racially charged poem either by Langston Hughes or other writers associated with the harlem movement. The poem was written in free verse and was about a father being sent to war and later, his son being sent to war for America but neither father nor son being recognised as equal Americans at home because of the color of their skin.

I vaguely remember reading something like this whilst awake so I have a strong feeling it exists, but if someone can find the exact poem I'd be glad. Cheers!
