Hinge match rant

25m and I've been career focused all my life. Now that it is settled and I'm happy with where I am, I thought of starting the next chapter of my life which was finding love. So this month, I decided to give Hinge a try. I matched with this girl – let's call her En – on Sunday and we talked a lot, giggled and idk how to say this, but we just CLICKED. She was legit sending me voice messages and the back and forth we had going was kinda lit. Both of us loved the mystery of me not knowing her name and her not knowing my college. It was intentional because when I do get matched, it's like they care about the college tag more than anything. So I just removed it from my profile. So coming back to the point, I had one of the most fun and intellectually stimulating interactions I've had in quite a while. Fast forward to the next day, I get a call that my grandfather has passed away and she texts me Good morning a few minutes after that to which I said I'm in an emergency and might not be able to talk until the next day or maybe the day after. She said that she hopes everyone is safe and to take care and that she's just here. This afternoon (Wednesday) I opened the app and she has unmatched. I'm like what?!?! I sincerely waited to have the opportunity to update you on the situation and you just disappeared? Idk the world is too cruel or I'm just too fragile, or pursue things too seriously or maybe I just need some help understanding what happened. I'm just frustrated. Where's the damn dating rulebook because hell I absolutely need it!
