It kinda feels like we just crossed one of those milestones that won’t fully sink in until much later.

Back in March 2026, the SEC approved Nasdaq’s framework for tokenized securities. That’s a pretty big deal. Tokenized equities aren’t some experimental niche anymore - they’re starting to plug directly into the real financial system.

We’re talking same tickers, same legal standing, just with a completely different backend. Now you’ve got 24/7 trading and blockchain-based settlement layered on top.

That’s not a small upgrade. That’s a structural shift.

At the same time, you’ve got major players all moving in the same direction. Nasdaq is working with Kraken on global tokenized equities. NYSE is building out blockchain infrastructure. OKX is getting ready to roll out tokenized versions of U.S. stocks.

It’s not one company experimenting anymore - it’s the traditional exchange world and crypto rails starting to merge.

And while most people are focused on the idea of tokenizing assets, I think the more interesting angle is everything happening around it.

Because once you’re looking at numbers like roughly 28 billion already tokenized, up from about 24 billion not that long ago, and around 12.8 billion just in tokenized U.S. Treasuries, the conversation changes.

At that point, you’re not proving this works. You’re scaling it.

And scaling anything in finance always comes down to infrastructure.

Not just blockchains, but all the less flashy stuff that actually makes markets function. Things like valuation systems, onboarding pipelines for assets, compliance layers that keep everything legit.

That’s where names like DVLT start to make more sense.

They’re not just trying to sit on the tokenization layer itself. They’re focused on what happens before and after - how assets get structured, how they’re priced, how they’re verified, and ultimately how they generate value.

Because in a world where markets run 24/7 and settlement is instant, pricing isn’t something you check once in a while. It has to be continuous.

Feels like we’re shifting from asking "can we tokenize assets?" to something much bigger - how do you actually run entire markets this way?

And that’s a completely different problem to solve.
