30 minute lunches?

I’ve been working at my store for almost two years now, i’m a senior in highschool so I can only work from 4-10 weekdays. I’ve always been told to only take 30 minute lunches but my app tells me to take an hour. Are my TL’s bullshitting me? Or is this common practice?
