Correct Service Interval?

I am wondering what everyone is using as their service interval for their I5? I am new to EV as of November and am really e joying the vehicle (except for trunk rattle). I just passed 5k miles and the dashboard is telling me that it is time to schedule service. The owners manual however lists 8k mile intervals for service. Which is it? What have you done? Thx
