Businesses shouldn’t be allowed to blast music onto the sidewalk

There should be a bylaw to prohibit businesses from playing loud audio intended to be heard from the street.

I absolutely loath the 3 businesses adjacent to the Rideau Station entrance on William street. They each pump loud music that overlaps with each other as if they were in a competition on which can be the loudest. It ruins the experience of the few rare pedestrian areas in the city.

The thought of being allowed to pollute the public space with their garbage music because it might attract customers is BS and impedes on the public peace.

Plenty of other bars in the market are guilty of this, and I make sure to never frequent their business as a result.
