There is almost no point ever to argue with people ever

I’ve made specific rules on when I’ll engage with people

1. It’s not a gotcha like, for example on this post some people may be like “ blah blah blah, welp, look I didn’t break any of your rules therefore your wrong”, it’s already obvious it’s going to be cortisol rising to argue with you, simply because your being stupid even if your points aren’t

2. They didn’t instantly misunderstand one of my points. This is probably the most common one online, why are you arguing with someone who can’t even comprehend what you said? You said you like oranges, they said . So if I’m ever gonna start a comment with “that’s not what I said” or “no what I was saying was” I know it’s a waste of time. This probably covers the most amount of arguments, 99% of arguments online or offline are just someone giving points to shit you weren’t even saying

3. When they’re making assumptions about you before the argument starts (this ties in with all stupidity like jokes), whenever I see a feminist if I make a post about woman or something say something like “I can tell your a virgin” or “

4. If we have completely different, no room to stand on beliefs. There is no point to me arguing with an atheist redditor who likes poop subreddits on why their hypothetical daughter being similar to a prostitute is bad. It is a fundamental difference in values, like saying pedophiles are bad. If you think pedophiles are humans and should be forgiven, and I think they aren’t what the fuck is there to argue about? It’s not a math equation you can bring evidence too, at best maybe some guilt tripping like “look what they did here is that ok?”

The closest thing I’ve had to an argument since making these rules is rewording one of my sentences so they could see it from another perspective. None of this dumb arguing shit, it’s stupid because you’re just wasting your time. I wouldn’t even argue with my own girl, if she thinks me opening doors means I hate animals she already has all the facts and came to the wrong conclusion, so what the fuck would I argue about?
