I told you so
Hello moderators,
I am submitting a follow-up to my previous request for a ban, which was reviewed and, to my understanding, denied on the basis that it was “the best request ever.”
While I appreciate the evaluation, I believe this introduces a procedural inconsistency that should be addressed.
If the purpose of this subreddit is to facilitate bans, then the denial of a request due to its quality creates a situation in which higher-effort submissions are less likely to achieve the intended outcome than lower-effort ones. This effectively incentivizes worse requests, which I will now attempt to correct for in a structured manner.
To that end, I would like to formally resubmit my request, but this time with the added context that it is an appeal of the original decision. The core request remains unchanged: I would like to be banned.
However, I recognize that my previous approach may have exceeded the acceptable threshold for coherence and readability. If that is the case, I can adjust accordingly. For example, I can reduce clarity, introduce unnecessary repetition, or expand this message beyond what is reasonable for the situation.
In fact, this paragraph exists primarily to demonstrate that capability.
Additionally, I would like to point out that denying the request has resulted in my continued presence, which necessitates further requests, which in turn increases overall workload. From an efficiency standpoint, approving the ban at this stage would likely reduce future administrative overhead.
This creates a scenario where the most resource-effective outcome is also the one originally requested.
I understand that moderation decisions are final, but I am choosing to treat this as a revisitable process, as my status remains unresolved.
To summarize:
- A request was made
- The request was denied
- The denial has caused the request to persist
- The persistence of the request necessitates this follow-up request
Given these factors, I am once again requesting a ban.
If this request is also denied, I am prepared to continue escalating in increasingly unnecessary ways until a stable endpoint is reached.
Thank you for your time and continued consideration of this ongoing situation.
Regards,
A user currently operating under a denied ban request with no clear resolution path
