Years of bullying because of my sweating—I don’t know how to cope anymore

Hi, I really need help and advice.

I have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and because of this I’ve faced a lot of bullying and trauma for years. In college, people used to call me “smelly,” make fun of me in the mess, and even some professors treated me differently and gave me low marks. My roommates would secretly take photos and videos of me (even when I was sleeping) and share them with others just to make fun of me. There were groups made just to mock me.

One boy even made a video of me and shared it on Instagram, and it spread everywhere. People started calling me names in public places like buses and markets. They say things like “she’s dirty” or “she has a disease.” It has completely broken my confidence.

Now even after college, in my hometown, people still taunt and laugh at me. Some even refer to my house as “that smelly girl’s house.” It hurts so much. I feel humiliated and scared to even step outside. I’ve stopped telling my parents because they say it’s normal, but it’s not normal for me. I cry almost every day.

The worst part is that the videos have spread so much that even relatives have seen them. I feel helpless, ashamed, and stuck. I don’t know how to deal with this mentally or physically. I don’t even know how to reduce the sweating and smell properly.

If anyone has gone through something similar or knows how to deal with hyperhidrosis, bullying, or online harassment, please help me. I feel very alone and don’t know what to do anymore.

Thank you for reading.
