am i in a situationship?

so i (F) been talking to this guy from around late last yr (late dec) to now. we were friends a few yrs back due to a common interest but we stopped talking after he ghosted me (we’ve know each other for 7). last yr we began talking again bc of that interest and slowly, our conversations deviated from talking about our hobby to life, school, family problems, gossip as well as casual conversation. recently he started sending me pics of his whatever hes doing and js contacting me for no reason (like it wasnt gossip and it was lowk completely unrelated to me but he said he wanted to ‘make sure’ of something). we’re in highschool and go to the library quite a lot and we say hi to each other and ask questions if we dont know how to do something, but we rarely sit together. whenever he goes to the supermarkets during these times he asks me if i want anything. we usally both stay late at the library after closing time so we walk to the train station together, and whenever we have big news for each other we immediately text one another. i feel like before u get to know him hes super awkward but i feel like we’re comfortable with each other. also, he followed me on spotify (idk how he found my account, probs thru 1 friend that we have mutual) and im also aware that spotify doesn’t recommend people to follow. i talk to him more than most of my friends, and sometimes we’d stay up talking on school nights or weekends when we’d have preoccupations early the next day. I’ve liked him for 2 yrs (it was kinda on and off) and we’ve been talking for 4 months. the 2 friends ive told abt this both think its a situationship but i rlly dont think its there… like we never flirt or anything we’re lowk just friends 💀 also, what do i do! i dont want to escalate because we’re both in our final yr of highschool and have big exams coming up but if this drags on (and if this rlly is a situationship) staying this way might be worse. am i in a situationship?
