Paint schemes for Zerg

I dont want to do just purple amd brown but was wanting to do some blue like player 2 color.

Would a purple base coat after primer with blue over it come oit well or dark blue with thin purple over it?

Im brand new to mini painting, only done painted one mini so far, so not sure what a good order of painting would be
