Safety Brief

🧭Field Report

Good morning, my name is SeeD Cadet Dincht 106 and today's safety brief is about weapons safety.

As SeeD Cadets, it is our responsibility to give our best effort in weapon's class and to dedicate our own personal time to weapon's proficiency and due to the dangerous nature of weapons training, it is expected for there to be some injuries.

However, careless training practices commonly lead to the injuries of not only the training participants, but also third-party bystanders.

Just last year, 30 students were treated at the hospital for weapons related injuries that were determined to have been preventable, following their respectable reviews.

In order to minimize injury and maximize time spent outside the hospital wing, here are some weapons protocols to keep in mind.

1 - Except when specifically authorized by Garden staff, weapons must remain in their cases outside of weapon's class and designated training areas.

2 - Don't train outside your comfort zone. If you think it is unsafe, it probably is, and you will probably hurt yourself and others. If you want to learn new moves, that's what weapon's class is for.

3 - Practice regularly. Regular practice in designated areas will make you comfortable enough with your weapon to yield it confidently and under control.

Thank you very much and have a safe training day! If you have any questions, please ask in the comments I will answer to within the best of my ability, or you may ask Garden staff.
