Internship vs Grad Program as an international students.

Hi everyone, I’m an international student studying a Bachelor of IT, majoring in Data Analytics/Science, and I’m trying to figure out the best way for getting into the industry.

My WAM is around 93, so my grades are strong, but I’m finding it really hard to even find internships that I’m eligible for as an international student. A lot of them seem to have citizenship, PR, or unrestricted work rights requirements, so I’m starting to wonder whether internships are even the right thing to focus on, or whether waiting till I'm eligible for graduate program route is more realistic. As of right now, I am going back to my country (Thailand) for internships that I landed over there (at a global consulting and technology firm).

I cannot apply to Grad role yet because I will be graduating next year (mid-2027). Any advice would be highly appreciated!
