Help pick foundation for my mom

My mom is asking me about foundations and I’m thinking I can pick something up for her as an early Mother’s Day present during the Sephora sale. I’d love to know your recs based on what she is looking for:

Mom is in her late 60s w/ normal to occasionally dry skin. Very fair & cool toned. Looking for something matte or natural matte but *not glowy or dewy* and the biggest thing is its gotta be pretty low fuss. She is unlikely to ever use a primer or go wet a sponge, so something brush or even finger friendly is key. I could probably persuade her to use a setting spray. Maybe. lol.

She’s currently using a lightweight skin tint and likes it, but wants something that offers more coverage for special occasions.

I think the merit stick would be good but I’ve heard it requires good skin prep so idk.
