I tracked every ball of IPL 2026 and turned it into an open analytics dashboard
I always wanted to analyse the teams/players/matches in IPL so I built something over the weekend and kept adding to it. Updates after every match.
There's no ads or any kind of monetisation in it, made purely for the fun of it. So let me know if you are interested and I can send the link as I am not sure if links are allowed here.
Here's what's in it:
Phase analysis. Every metric broken down by Powerplay (1–6), Middle (7–15), Death (16–20). Run rate, strike rate, dot ball %, and a phase × pace/spin split showing the share of deliveries and strike rate for each type in each phase.
Team DNA. Every team gets a card with their batting and bowling z-scores vs the league average across 12 metrics. Tells you at a glance who's a complete side, who's bat-heavy, who's bowl-heavy, and who's bottom of everything. Each card also lists the team's top 2 strengths and top 2 weaknesses as chips.
Team rankings. 18 different ranking cards including PP batting RPO, death batting RPO, boundary reliance, strike rotation, control %, PP/middle/death bowling economy, dot-ball %, extras per over, opening partnerships, balls to first wicket, collapse count, consistency (innings stddev), and standings with form.
Role-based leaderboards. Powerplay top openers, middle-overs anchors, and death fastest scorers. Each card uses the player's actual declared role from Cricinfo so you're comparing like with like.
Pace vs spin splits per batter. Runs, strike rate, boundary %, control %, and average shown separately vs pace and vs spin, plus a "gap" column so you can see who is lopsided in either direction.
Length × line heatmap. Bowler view. Runs per ball in each bucket with wicket counts, color coded.
Some screenshots from it. Looking forward to hearing all your feedback :)
