Whether you're new to firearms or upgrading your setup, here's what actually matters when picking a gun:

Purpose first. Concealed carry, home defense, and competition all point to different platforms. Most people asking this question are looking for a defensive handgun.

Fit matters more than brand. Rent before you buy. Grip size, trigger reach, and weight affect how you perform under stress. What works for your buddy may not work for you.

9mm is the smart starting point. Manageable recoil, affordable ammo, proven stopping power. Hard to argue against it for everyday carry.

Stick to proven platforms. Glock, S&W M&P, Sig Sauer, Springfield Armory. Reliable, parts are everywhere, and instructors can actually help you troubleshoot them.

Get training before or right after you buy. This is the step most people skip and later regret. One solid course changes everything about how you handle and carry a firearm.

We run CCW courses, defensive shooting, women's only classes, and Stop the Bleed training across Palm Beach County, Broward, and Okeechobee.
