Do people who seem to have their lives together actually have unspoken financial help from family or friends?

I'm asking because I've always felt like I'm barely scraping by while my peers appear to be thriving, and I wonder if they're getting some kind of secret financial support that I'm not aware of. I feel like this is something nobody talks about but everyone wonders.
