Long time Elves players, are you finding this updated version of the deck quite boring to play?

Curious to hear other peoples thoughts

I’ve played Elves since the days where Nettle Sentinal was the norm, and we flooded the board with tokens and drew half our deck with Distant Melody

Took a break post pandemic for a bit, came back a couple years ago and updated to play with Nyxborns etc. Been enjoying things and adjusting to the meta as it goes, but this new slower version just feels a bit underwhelming to me - is anyone else getting that?

Previously we had more of these really creative and playful combo lines, lots of narrow sequences to bait out removal and then play something better, and now the deck feels more resilient but also just a little slow and dull. And in fact I’m finding that RG monsters is just as consistent, puts more threats on board, and is way more resistant to board wipes, whilst ramping out an Avenging Hunter at the same speed which is making me feel that this version is Elves is just a bit redundant as we’re doing a very similar thing to RG ramp with a similar end game (minus the go wide option which is of course very relevant)

How are we feeling? I‘m keeping my version as the multicoloured combo oriented version as It’s more fun for me and there’s a benefit certainly to playing something you enjoy over what’s just good - won’t take it to comp-rel events any time soon so not worried at it being less optimum, just curious if anyone else has had the same feelings!
