Jason Bateman double standards

Been doing a lot of listening to Smartless recently and it’s really given me the ick as to how out-of-touch JB is with reality. Don’t get me wrong, he’s excellent at his craft and is very versatile as an actor/director, but it seems that he loves to brag about his weekend dinner parties with JA (I’d be lucky to see my friends every few months at most, going on holidays with A-list celebrities and talking about this during a near—economic crisis , his eldest daughter attending film school in USC (of all places, JB did two talks with that school) and being affiliated with Kappa Kappa, and pretty much showing his listeners that he hasn’t had much of a life outside Hollywood. I used to love him for his fake cluelessness, but as I listen to the pod more and more and that the world isn’t in great shape right now, it seems that Jason’s commentary isn’t doing anyone a favour. and it’s even more disappointing that it’s coming from someone who wholly endorses the Democrats (as a fellow democrat myself).
