Jim Green Razorback sizing

i got some razorbacks and i ordered about a size smaller as per the sizing chart from jim green. they hurt my heel and make my toes really sore despite having ample room in the toe box. is this like common discomfort due to a break in period or does this sound like a sizing problem?
