Fluoxetine/Prozac in child

Hello everyone! I’m hoping for some insight or shared experiences.

My son is almost 7. He recently has been seeing a psychiatrist for ADHD and ODD. She started him on Fluoxetine 4 weeks ago.

The first few weeks were wonderful. We saw so many positive changes in him!! This weekend, I noticed he was regressing to his behaviors before he started medication. I also noticed he has been putting his mouth on things he normally wouldn’t be. After googling it, I see that is a potential side effect from the med.

I am hoping someone can share some insight or experiences on this. Did you or your child regress at week 4? If so, did they change the med or dosage or just continue on the same dose?

I have him set up for an appointment with the doctor tomorrow but I am antsy and want to hopefully get a little peace of mind.
