got scammed from facebook market place seller and need some help!
It looks like I may have been scammed. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra for $600, and it turned out to be locked. The seller claimed they were unaware and said they requested an unlock through AT&T, so I waited about 48 hours.
However, after checking the IMEI on AT&T’s website, I found that the device has been reported as lost or stolen. Since then, the seller has stopped responding to my messages and calls.
At this point, I’m trying to figure out my options. Is there anything I can do in this situation? Are there any legitimate services that can unlock a device with this kind of status, or is it essentially unusable?
I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions. This has been quite stressful and frustrating.
