Picnic/Food Table set up in Central Park – do I need a permit?

hey friends,

my sister and I want to set up a table to share home-made indian street food (no open flames/stove/electricity required) with our community of friends and family. to be honest, we're trying to build a nostalgia-based diaspora community in the NYC/NJ area but we're not officially registered as a business or don't plan to any time soon.

we thought of basically sending a partiful to our friends, family, and friends of friends to come show up at the spot & enjoy some food-based nostalgia and chats. we don't plan on having any setup except 1 table + blankets to hang. we won't be doing any ticketing but may just ask for a venmo per person to offset food costs. we will DEFINITELY be cleaning up after!

the goal is NOT to make money but to gather people outdoors over food. i have already applied for a special events park permit, but we don't really have a food-based license etc. and we are so new with this idea – i don't want to be a disturbance/break any rules

can someone guide me if there's anything else i need to do here, or I should be fine? thank you!
