my cousins best friend is scared of being a lesbian and it breaks my heart

so im 20 and a lesbian, very proud about it (even though my aunts and uncles dont know), all my cousins, their friends, my mom and siblings are all cool with me being who i am even if i know some of them are religious as hell.

my cousin (we'll call her bean) has this friend, (we'll call her bug). bug is 18 and she recently broke up with her ex because she felt like she was sinning. she opened up to me about how hard it was to be so involved in the christian community, going to outreaches, and playing in the church band, while not being able to be herself. and she said she feels like she can't even talk to bean about it because she'll feel judged.

bean has been turning into this holier than thou christian as if she wasnt sinning over and over again for some uni boy JUST LAST YEAR.

it pisses me off, at the same time i look at bug and i see my younger self in so many different ways and i just wanna cry about it and hug her. im 100% sure this is the first time ive ever felt so maternal omg.

that's just my rant. this kid has my entire heart, like a little sister i never had.
