Birthday surprises as a trentahin doesn’t work anymore 🚫

Hello! I am turning 32 this year and I know many things have changed including behavioral shift which I recognize as introversion. In my younger years, I used to like loud crowds and everything stereotypically considered as YOLO millennial lifestyle.

I lead a team in an office, and one of my rules every time my birthday comes nearer is to “never surprise me”. Kasi siguro (sorry) a. nacocorny-han ako (kasi alam ko na gagawin nila yan dahil alam nila bday ko) b. I don’t want to be seated in the middle or in front of many people seeing them with enamored eyes looking at me. c. I just can’t explain, d. All of the above.

I want my birthday to be celebrated quietly. Ayaw ko nga yung mga kanta kanta ng happy birthday sa mga restaurant tapos pagtitinginan ka🥹🥹🥹 CRINGE!

But please don’t get me wrong. Dati gusto ko yan!!! Nagbago talaga lahat after siguro ng pandemic.
