I feel like I understand, yet dont understand the plot

So im playing as Yuito. Have not played as Kanade yet. I just left Togetsu after setting off alarms, and for the most part im understanding uo to this point the overarching plot and the bigger ticket plot points (though understanding and thinking its executed well is a different thing all together).

However where i just dont understand is this.

Kanade's group keeps fighting us. On multiple instances have said that they wanted to kill Yuito. They have ambushed or tried to ambush us multiple times. Why the fk am I still meeting up with them at Musubi for bonds? Why the fk am I willing to help Kanade free her group from Togetsu (ok she warned me about imminent danger that one time) when she is constantly trying to kill me and at no point ever is she trying to explain anything or talk anything out.

I totally understand ill have to play her stroy to understand her side of things. But I just dont understand that from Yuito's perspective here. Like why are people like Kyoka and Shiden trying to kill me, then wanting to meet up to talk?

Yuito's choices and sequence of events just arent making sense. He chose to forgive Kanade well before he found out all the shady shit his father was doing as part of the government, which Joe Sumeragis involvement isnt really proven yet other than government doing bad things, he is part of government. I know Yuitos relationship with Joe wasn't great, but it was a pretty quick grieving into forgiving process for Yuito which just seems so bizarre. And at no point has she offered any explanation. Yuito has basically been investigating everything himself.

Idk. His interactions with her and her team are just so bizarre to me I cant understand it. Hopefully it gets cleared up soon ish?

If anyone has any insight without spoiling too much Id appreciate it because the more I play (I enjoy yhe gameplay for the most part) he story is just falling flat, mostly because of wll that i explained.
