EE at Purdue (47k) or UMD (41K)

so im an intl studenr and I got accepted for ee at purdue and umd (a couple other but these two are my best options).

UMD

pros:

- cheaper

- near dc so good opportunities for internships and stuff

cons:

- im going to have to stay with family, family thats pretty controlling in what I do and dont do amd will def be sending reports to my parents back home

- lower rankings for ee, doenst have a minor i want (biomedical eng, ot has bio eng but its not as focuses as id like)

-doesnt have actuarial science

-nearly 2 hour commute

Purdue

pros

-I cant get away from being monitored constantly somewhat (I still have family here, but theyre not as nosy)

- has my minor/ preferred double major (biomedical eng)

-is also no1 rank in my alternative major ive been considering (instead of eng) which is actuarial science

cons

-more expensive

-kinda in the middle of nowhere

-maybe less opportunities for internships cause of location

I have to consider costs, I won't be going into debt but paying for uni is already a financial strain. Plus, I really value clubs/ ec outside of class. another thing to mention is that since my relatives would be around in umd, itd be easier for me to continue tutoring and therefore earn money.
