RC submarine with camera looks cool but is it actually useful or just a fun gadget?

A few days ago I am seeing an RC submarine with camera and I just pause like okay this look very interesting honestly. It not something you see everyday, a small device that can go underwater and show live view. The idea itself feel exciting, like exploring something hidden. I am thinking how technology is bringing new ways to interact with places we normally dont see. It feel simple but also very unique.

Now I am thinking if it is actually useful or just for fun. I usualy think RC toys are mostly for entertainment so this feel little diffrent to me. With a camera, it might be used for checking small water areas, ponds, or even for hobby exploration. I am also wondering how clear the video is and how deep it can go. Some days ago I am not really thinking about this but now it feel interesting.

Then I think about experience. Controlling something underwater must feel very different compared to land or air devices. It feel slower, more careful, and more focused. That might be part of its appeal.

Later I am laying and scrolling random stuff, checking many options on alibaba and seeing different submarine models. Some look very advanced honestly. Now I am thinking if its worth trying or just something that look cool but used only few times.
