I want to replace the thermal fuse on my dehydrator. I've never done any repairs like this before, so looking for general advice on how to remove the fuse and how to crimp the new one (which I haven't bought yet) in place. If the second photo isn't clear, it says: RY96, 98 deg C, 250V 10A EABP, and there are several symbols I don't recognize. I think something like this would be a replacement: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/175947594627](https://www.ebay.com/itm/175947594627)

Also: I had to slice open the white insulation sleeve to access the fuse - can I just tape it back closed with something like this: [https://www.amazon.com/3M-88-Super-3-4x44FT-Vinyl-Electrical/dp/B0002FTGEE/ref=sr\_1\_3?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Unec7XG-YOep4sL\_7l3CDxB65N0zelFIQdGbqUKlZXmTnzaa93p9AHSYLwAFxYsuFVwE89CakcG4krH10Hzn7jfAQxtbcaM4WTto1k3jLA50n51kEeU\_XJtnoeLGRJYhM8WUsYle7HgkTuPpcaxcMzlwME3Tv9v9Pd3Rlj5c1AscRXvFv6jsccmTgtELvlRElYRSAzdNqtGSrVAJO4YUF5rq35GntN-5JiSbWyAbEVg.zgix6Fr9\_lWlHNXfZcWv-gYlktWjWbPa8SAnH04S5eg&dib\_tag=se&keywords=high%2Btemp%2Belectrical%2Btape&qid=1775653319&sr=8-3&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/3M-88-Super-3-4x44FT-Vinyl-Electrical/dp/B0002FTGEE/ref=sr_1_3?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Unec7XG-YOep4sL_7l3CDxB65N0zelFIQdGbqUKlZXmTnzaa93p9AHSYLwAFxYsuFVwE89CakcG4krH10Hzn7jfAQxtbcaM4WTto1k3jLA50n51kEeU_XJtnoeLGRJYhM8WUsYle7HgkTuPpcaxcMzlwME3Tv9v9Pd3Rlj5c1AscRXvFv6jsccmTgtELvlRElYRSAzdNqtGSrVAJO4YUF5rq35GntN-5JiSbWyAbEVg.zgix6Fr9_lWlHNXfZcWv-gYlktWjWbPa8SAnH04S5eg&dib_tag=se&keywords=high%2Btemp%2Belectrical%2Btape&qid=1775653319&sr=8-3&th=1)
