How do I not get nervous when talking to her?

I have been crushing on this girl forever. About 5 months and it started since we share a period together in school. I started to text her through a story she posted, and then began to initiate a conversation. Eventually I’m currently finding out her interest, and it seems we have a lot in common. I’ve gotten to a point where I’m so nervous to open the app and text her. Although I have texted her many times so far, I’m so scared to look at responses. She seems like she’s genuinely interested in me too but I’m so intimidated probably because this is a first, and I don’t wanna act like I’m ghosting her. I’m open to any advice. Thank you.
