What survivor is lacking these days
I love survivor & glad Australia hasn’t turned like the US version which is now mostly Jeff talking for half the episode about how great it is while simultaneously ruining the greatness..
I just think, for survivor to stay magical, it does need a little evolution.
Not in the sense of sob stories and “admirable” gameplay, more so in the sense of unpredictability.. for both the viewers and the cast, but mainly the cast.
Contestants know when a tribe swap is coming. They know when merge will happen. It seems that have worked out a cheat system where you coast your way through till merge, form a solid group of 7 that will mostly not even try to strategise. A final 4 is chosen within that 7, as soon as merge begins. The only thing they don’t know is if they are a part of that 7.
The editing to try and make viewers believe anything but the simple, easy most obvious vote may happen, has now become also so predictable.. if they try to show you what twist might happen, it probably means it won’t.
What are some of your ideas as viewers that could switch it up a little ?
Multiple tribe swaps in the first few days ? Forcing players to break up alliances that won’t do any game play except sticking together all season?
Start with merge and then break them up into groups after afew days ? A challange could determine captains of tribes to pick who they want on their tribe? (Could add a poaching of alliance element)
Any other ideas ?
