Sturm und Drang - Romanticism
This week spring has awoken in my country, the birds are chirping, sun is shining, the flowers are blossoming and the trees are gaining their color back. It makes me feel absolutely wonderful, I feel a warmth in the pit of my stomach stemming from the unfolding wonders of the world. I've made it a habit to keep a small "Reclam" (for the german-speaking world, you know what I'm referring to) booklet in whatever bag I'm taking outside, so I'm on my phone less.
Currently I'm reading "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers" - "The Sorrows of Young Werther" by Goethe and I feel like he encapsulates the fascinating beauty of Nature quite well, at least before he's drowning himself in passion.
Either way, I'm aware of the romantic poets Shelley, Wordsworth, Coleridge and so on, that of course have dealt with nature. Mind you, I'm not a literary professor, so if I said something wrong please, feel free to correct me.
Anyway, put simply, I wanted to inquire about novels or certain poems that you feel capture this feeling of oncoming spring.
