Looking for shoe advice
Hello!
I am not a ballroom dancer, but a burlesque dancer that often performs in ballroom shoes. My shoes have a suede sole, which are wonderful, but for some stage surfaces have too much friction. In particular, the back portion of a stage that I frequent has a textured rubber surface that does not fare well with the suede and affects my movements.
I would like to avoid buying new shoes (plus can’t seem to find any with a street/hybrid sole besides v expensive Burjus) and am wondering if anyone has experience with adding any sort of tape or other material to the bottom of their shoes to reduce friction and create a smoother surface?
