Champions, dark horse and biggest flop for post season?
With most playoff teams confirmed, which teams are your favourites to go all the way, most likely team to do better than expected and biggest flop?
Personally I have OKC as my favourites still, although Spurs are a bad match up but I think Jokic will get his 2nd ring. The only other team I really see challenging these 3 is Boston.
I think Philly could do better than expected (if healthy) and think Charlotte could win a round but I don’t think that’s a hot take. Another shout I have for this is the Suns, I don’t think they’d beat the Spurs but it could be 5/6 close games IMO.
I think the Wolves could potentially have a major reshuffle this season anyway, but think they’ve just been pretty meh this season (yes Ant has been injured). They obviously can be good but it feels like they’ve been underwhelming and nothing special down the back end of the season. I could see them losing to Denver in Round 1 and then having a major reshuffle - particularly with Randle. Similarly Houston have a shout here as with all the KD drama and them not being quite as good as everyone though I could see them maybe having a reshuffle of the roster, but given Luka/Reaves injuries and just my concerns over the Lakers defence I think they should get through round 1 at least.
I also think the Cavs could be a potential flop as well. Given how they’ve traded a much younger guard for Harden, they’re clearly even more in on winning now. But they’ve had injuries this season and haven’t seemed to ever be near the level of last year.
