No leaf egg or pink flower trees

I restarted my game a little over a year ago for a fresh start. I noticed last spring that I had zero leaf egg trees during Easter week and no pink blossom trees during cherry blossom season (I do, however have floating blossoms). I thought initially maybe it was because I restarted too close to the events. Sadly this year is exactly the same. I am assuming the game didn’t load correctly when I restarted. Is there a way to fix this without having to start over again?
