I didn't know I'm bisexual not until I met her

Ask r/WLW

Hey! So I’m 28 and just ended a long-term relationship with my ex. Then I met this girl in a game, she’s 21. We started off as friends in the game, then connected outside, and soon we were chatting every day. We’d stay up all night talking, time literally flew when we were chatting.

A little while in, she told me she likes girls, and honestly, I was thrilled because I already had a crush on her. I didn’t tell her right away though, so we just kept talking like usual. Then out of nowhere, she made me a playlist, it was super sweet.

Eventually, I confessed that I liked her, and a few weeks later, she told me she liked me too and asked me to be her girlfriend. I said yes right away, I didn’t want to miss my chance with her.

The tricky part is that she’s keeping our relationship a secret from her family and friends, basically, no one knows she’s a lesbian yet. We agreed it’s fine to keep it low-key for now. She thinks her family wouldn’t be super open, and I told her there’s no pressure to come out, I’ll wait until she’s ready.

We’re in a long-distance relationship, and I’m just trying to navigate this carefully. I love her a lot and don’t want to lose her. I’m patient and really don’t want to pressure her into anything she’s uncomfortable with.

Do you think she’s just exploring her feelings with me, or is this real? I just want to make this work and be there for her.
