Automation Backup Location

So this is probably a dumb question, but when setting up an automation switch, and using the default premade "Backup Config Disk" action, does this spit out an actual config file somewhere?

Does anyone have experience with this or have suggestions about it, like should I just make my own action via CLI o is the default a good option.

(I just want to have an automated backup like every day or week)
