And it’s sonic himself. I don’t like saying that but it’s true. Especially in sonic 3 where he’s at his most insufferable. Every Sonic character has been adapted pretty well into these films… besides sonic. He isn’t really funny.

He isn’t that strong either. I mean he was at peak capabilities in the first film and he didn’t really win against knuckles. With shadow it took him instigating sonic into actually landing an impactful strike.

Then the whole third movie sonic wasn’t using his brain at all and everyone had to save him on countless occasions. And that’s another thing, the super power of team work is very prevalent in sonic that really isn’t an issue. It just seems like at this point without his friends Sonic can’t do anything.

Which sucks because in the first movie this kid could do everything. He was smart and powerful it made sense why he won against the greatest scientific mind in the world. He was out pacing knuckles, someone who trained his whole life to be a warrior and even matched him in their fight.

Shadow is supposed to be Sonic’s equal yet anytime they come into contact shadow is just superior. There was a head to head rivalry marketed but that was clearly false advertising because Sonic apparently needed the super form to do anything to shsdow the shadow knocked him out of it anyways.

I’ve seen sonic 3 maybe 6 times now since release and the movie could have been more enjoyable for me personally if sonic wasn’t so irritating and incompetent
