social media posts

so my ex has never been a social media person. like never. posted on insta 4 times over the course of our 4.5 year relationship and 3 of them were photos w me.

never posted stories either. we broke up 9 weeks ago. for the first 6 weeks he was a ghost. nothing. then we met up for coffee and he said he still felt the spark, would be open to trying again, but he was still a "hot mess" and needed time to convince himself things could be different between us. i think he just wants to be single. anyway, after saying a bunch of very hopeful things about how he wanted to see me again and how "we both don't want this to be the last time... whatever this develops into i wanna be in your life"

he went silent again. but ever since we met up for coffee he has started posting a lot more on instagram stories. photos of him at the pool, playing soccer, and last night he was at a concert w his work friends. he never expressed interest in this stuff while we were together and it hurts to feel like i was somehow holding him back or that his life is big and shiny without me.

oh and also he made out w his coworker two days before we broke up and idk what's happened w them since.

so why do guys start posting more?? like a damn influencer
