Requesting Notes
My head is about to explode. On March 10, I made an ATIP request for notes on my citizenship application. This was received on March 10. In my note, I mentioned I was requesting this as I knew I was in PSU from calling in November. As well, I presumed my three adult kids were in PSU also as we were all in the same packet and they had heard nothing as well. I received an email back asking for clarification on whether I was asking for myself or the three others as well and would have to provide their signatures on a filled out consent form. I hadn't intended to but decided upon receiving this email that I may as well. This communication is reflected in the first pic.
So, I filled out the Consent form I was directed to, obtained their signatures and replied on April 1, including all pertinent numbers requested and their birthdates.
Yesterday, I received an email again stating that my request could still not be accepted as I didn't provide valid ID pictures, as reflected in the second picture. Nowhere, NOWHERE in their email of March 26 is it indicated this was a prerequisite to getting the notes I was requesting. This was not indicated in the Consent form application or the separate page indicating how the form was to be filled out.
Has anyone had experience with this? Right now, I'm not sure if this is a delaying tactic, an exercise in making me chase my own tail, putting off fulfilling my request, or is IRCC sincerely this effed up not knowing or relaying the appropriate directions for applicants. My hair was on fire when I got that email.
