Is this English Ivy?

I know that it’s toxic if consumed, but does it cause the same rash and discomfort as poison ivy? We just moved into our house and this shit is all over the back quarter of the yard, with deep roots, although the ground level vines are wilted. I’m removing it regardless, but if it is what it looks like, are there some precautions I should take?
