I wanted to share a recent experience with the extra strength dream coat. I used to use the original formula but never found that much success when it came to humidity. I have naturally curly hair but I will be traveling overseas to a very wet and humid city, I will not be able to restyle my hair daily or every few days so I thought I would try out the extra strength version.

Routine: after shampooing and conditioning, I used Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner, then sprayed dream coat in sections all over, lastly used a heat protecting lotion from The Doux. I blow dried my hair with a round brush then used a flat iron to seal in. I was so surprised by the results!

1st picture is my hair after being in wet misty rain for over an hour (no umbrella and no hat). Although I hate how flat my hair is whenever I use a flat iron, I love how straight my hair remained!

2nd picture is what my hair looked like walking for 10 mins in 90% humidity not using dream coat. I only used a blow dryer/round brush. I wanted to demonstrate what my hair normally looks like if I am in humidity.

3rd picture is what my hair looks like if I blow dry without dream coat no humidity.

4th picture is my natural curly hair.

Overall I’m really amazed my hair didn’t revert back to being curly and was frizz free standing in misty rain. I wouldn’t do this every blow dry because I love more bounce to my hair, but wanted to share if anyone was on the fence about dream coat.
