cmv: oura rings and self-tracking is not good people

i am very against the use of oura rings and whoop rings and anything like that. oura ring controversy aside, why do people need to have an app tell them how good they slept the night before? i can understand why people may want to know heart rate and other health stuff but using it for just understanding every day use does not make sense. also, why would you want your data on an app to which any data brokers can sell? i want to understand what the draw is of these technologies but truly cannot (other than for health purposes). i just don't think we were ever meant to know this much about the human body.
